Who Dat?
Johnathan is an actor, writer, director, producer, editor (and occasional web developer). He performs live sketch comedy monthly with his UCB Maude team, Petty Crime. He is a founding member of the digital comedy collective Off Q. Johnathan is a founding member of the Magnet Theater’s longest running sketch team, The Nitro Girls.
Johnathan is a contributor to online publication Flexx and has performed in many festivals including (but not limited to), Toronto Sketch Festival (‘24, ‘23), Chicago Sketch Festival (’20, ’19, 18), Austin Sketch Fest (’19, ’17), Seattle Sketch Festival (‘19) , 6th Borough Comedy Festival (’19), Diverse As Fuck (’18), and the Boston Sketch Festival (’17).
After spending 4 years pursing a BS in computer engineering from The George Washington University, Johnathan decided he’d put all that aside to study comedy & writing at the Magnet Theater and Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) under extraordinary comedic talents including Monique Moses, Phoebe Tyers, Joanna Simmons, Chris Hastings, Keisha Zollar, Peter McNerney, Molly Lloyd, Chet Seigel, and Anthony Apruzzese.
He also produced, co-wrote, and co-starred the web series Six Story Walk-Up.
While in pursuit of an acting and production career, Johnathan is also passionate about diversity and inclusion in the comedy community and entertainment industry at large. He co-founded Remix: The Diversity Sketch Lab, a project which focused on getting diverse voices involved in the community hosted at the Magnet Theater.
